They are dispersed from the bottom of the hill all over the shady slope. The whole bungalow resort was renovated in 2010. All bungalows have a private balcony, double or single beds, ventilators and bathrooms with showers and European toilets. Towels are provided from the Rayang Phurin Resort. There are 6 single bungalows and 3 double bungalows. The double bungalows with 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and 1 shared terrace are ideal for families.     The restaurant of Rayang Phurin Resorts   The beach of Ko Rayang Resort   All bungalows are built from wood. Due to noise reduction and better climates the Thai typical palm roofs are put over the normal roofs. In the restaurant you can enjoy Thai specialities and fresh seafood while watching the beautiful view over Ko Mak. A little beach-bar was built where you can enjoy any kind of hot or chilled drinks while watching the great views over the beach and the sea ... On the hill behind the restaurant there is a beautiful, romantic viewpoint where you great views to some of the islands of the Nationalpark.   The Rayang Phurin Resort is the perfect place for relaxation and recovery with beach parasols and beach chairs available for the guests.   On the left Ko Rayang Nok with Rayang Phurin Resort On the viewpoint   Besides reading, swimming and snorkeling, volleyball or football can be played at the shady sandy area in front of the restaurant.   On the slope The beach of Ko Rayang Resort Kayaks can be rented at the Rayang Phurin Resort to discover this beautiful island, also snorkel gear and fishing rods are available and the guests can cross over to Ko Mak for a relaxing day trip. Also a baby cot can be ordered on request and surely there is laundry service. In the little shop you can buy goods for the daily use like batteries, sun creme etc. Electricity is made by a generatior that runs - depending on the season and the amount of guests - from 6 am to 11 pm. As there is no electricity at night time a torch is usefull! From the pier at the Makathanee Resort you will be brought by boat to Ko the Rayang Phurin Resort on Koh Rayang Nok (see: "The Beaches of Ko Mak - the South Coast" or: Makathanee Resort). Ko Mak can be reached either from Baan Bang Bao in the south of Ko Chang or from Laem Ngop Pier at the mainland. Ferries from Ko Chang (Baan Bang Bao Pier): From November to May there are daily boats starting from Baan Bang Bao (south of Ko Chang) to Ko Mak and back. As the departure times change quite often, please ask on Ko Chang (tickets are available in almost all travel-agencies). The times for the return trips are available in all resorts on Ko Mak. Ferries from the mainland (Laem Ngop Pier, also called Khrom Luang Pier): In High Season speedboats leave the mainland from the Laem Ngop pier at 10.30 am and 2 pm. The boats will bring you to the Makathanee Pier on Ko Mak within about about 1 hour. Rreturn trip to Laem Ngop start at 8 am and 9.30 am. During Low Season there is just one daily speedboat, it starts in Laem Ngop at 2 pm, from Ko Mak at 9 am. There are also several daily fishing boats to Ko Mak, duration about 3 hours. As the departure and arrival times change quite often, please ask at the Laem Ngop Pier. In case you don't arrive at the Makathanee Pier you will find taxis at the piers that will bring you there for the crossing to Ko Rayang. (October 2007. All information refer to high-season between November and May. Occasionally, due to high waves, the boats are unable to leave. Depending on the weather conditions, boats often can't leave to Ko Mak in low-season between May/June and October/November.) If you want to come directly from Bangkok to Ko Mak and Ko Rayang you have to start early to avoid spending a night on Ko Chang or at the mainland. If you come by plane you have to get the morning flight, otherwise you will not reach Ko Mak and the Rayang Phurin Resort at the same day. From the airport in Trat you have to get to Laem Ngop Pier (= Khrom Luang Pier) where the boats to Ko Mak leave. On demand we can organize this transfer for you: private car (max. 3 persons) 1.250.- Baht; minivan (max 6 persons) 2.000.- Baht.
