Because of the diving-school and the coffee-shop, both belonging to the Garden Resort and located towards the road, there is no traffic noise in the resort. Besides the diving-school and the coffee-shop, a big, open restaurant with bar, built with a typical Thai palm roof, belongs to the Garden Resort as well.   In the beautiful resort you’ll find 8 "Garden Superior Rooms", almost all located in detached bungalows, 9 "Poolside Deluxe Rooms", 3 "Poolside Twin Deluxe Rooms" and 3 "Family Bungalows". In the back of the well kept garden the beautiful swimming pool is situated. Except of the "Garden Superior Rooms" all other Categories are built around the pool. The restaurant, where Thai specialities and European dishes are served, opens daily from 3 pm to 10 pm. There films or sport events can be watched on the big 60-inch cinema screen. The bar, also located in the restaurant, opens at 4 pm. Usually it closes when there are no more guests.   In the Coffee-Shop, opened daily from 7.30 am to 5.30 pm, snacks and drinks can be ordered which can be enjoyed either in the air-conditioned room or at one of the tables outside. Every Thursday the legendary party "Dancing in the Garden" takes place. Free BBQ, salads and other food is offered, often one or two Thai dishes as well. Also there is live-music with different bands. The guests of the Garden Resort get special rates at the dive-center. Also DVD-Players can be rented to watch films on the private TV in your room. In addition snorkeling tours and further activities on Ko Chang can be booked directly in the Resort. Because the Garden Resort is located in the center of the village you’ll find a lot of restaurants, local craft shops, small bars, pharmacies, massage shops and supermarkets close by. Arrival to the Garden Resort: From the piers you will reach the Garden Resort at Kai Bae Beach by pickup taxi within about 45 minutes. Please let the taxi driver know the name of the Garden Resort before starting, or get him to stop by knocking on the car-body (the entrance of the Garden Resort is located about 20 metres before the second "7-11" supermarket on the left hand side of the road). If you arrive by airplane from Bangkok you can take a minibus waiting at Trat airport that will bring you directly to the Garden Resort. Please ask at the pier or the airport for the prices of the pickup taxis and / or minibuses.
