The bungalow resort of that name was built in 2007 and is located on a nice stretch of the northern Kai Bae Beach. In the East it is less than 100 meters to the islands main road. The first jungle covered mountains which give Koh Chang its incomparable attraction rise behind it briefly. The beach in front of the bungalow resort is flat like the complete Kai Bae Beach but nevertheless well suitable for taking a bath and swimming. In Gaja Puri's garden     The bungalows and the swimming pool which is right at the beach are in a beautifully arranged tropical garden. A boardwalk on wooden pegs leads from the front office at the entrance all the way to the pool, with all the bungalows and villas on it. There is a free garden area in front of and besides the swimming pool with beach couches and parasols.     The Swimming pool of the Gaja Puri Resort Next to the swimming pool with its integrated whirlpool and the pool bar is the open two-storey "Ma Tang Restaurant” where the breakfast buffet is served as well as Thai and European dishes. There is also the "Gaja Pinn" Spa and massage area, a VIP lounge and conference room for 25 persons fully equipped with a karaoke system on the area of the beautiful bungalow resort. Wireless Internet and Laundry service is available and there is a great choice of DVD-movies which can be lent. In the front office all types of trips and transfers can be booked. The boardwalk with the bungalows and villas of the Gaja Puri Resort   There are different rooms, bungalow and villas types in the Gaja Puri Resort which are located along the wooden boardwalk or in the garden at the beach. The exclusive "Pool Villas" are also along the boardwalk but detached by wooden blinds and have a private swimming pool. Find more information on the different rooms on the booking page of the Gaja Puri Resort (please click the link at the end of this page).     The beautifully styled swimming pool with Jacuzzi Gaja Puri Resort’s "Ma Tang Restaurant”   The village of "Baan Kai Bae" with all its restaurants, bars, shops and a little bank branch lies just around the resort in easy walking distance. Almost everything you might need can be found here from ATMs to hairdressers, moped and car rentals, dive shops and much more. Arrival to the Gaja Puri Resort & Spa: From the piers you will reach the Gaja Puri Resort & Spa at Kai Bae Beach by pickup taxi within about 45 minutes. Please let the taxi driver know the name of the Gaja Puri Resort & Spa before starting, or get him to stop by knocking on the car-body (the entrance to the Gaja Puri Resort & Spa is about a 100 metres from the road direction sea but there is a big sign directly at the street). If you arrive by airplane from Bangkok you can take a minibus waiting at Trat airport that will bring you directly to the Gaja Puri Resort & Spa.
