| Location: The Koh
Kham Resort is located on Ko
Kham, about 20–25 km kilometres
southeast of Bang Bao Bay at the southernmost end of Ko
Chang, just a few hundred metres in front
of the north-west coast of Ko

There are less than 20 detached
bungalows at the Koh
Kham Resort which are build in the beautiful,
well-kept garden and/or at the southern beach.
There are 3 different bungalow
categories: for information about prices, location and equipment
read the table below.
They are all built mainly out of wood and other natural materials.
You sleep on big comfortable mattresses over which a mosquito
net is stretched. |
 |
|
All here offered bungalows
have fans, own bathrooms with shower and European toilet.
The bathrooms do not have roofs, which gives a special note
to the daily personal hygiene.
In the restaurant you can either sit on chairs or –
Thai style – on the ground. Delicious Thai dishes and
Seafood specialties are served. European breakfast is available
as well as chilled drinks you take by yourself out of the
cooling box filled with ice.

The atmosphere at Koh
Kham Resort is very familiar, Khun Toti,
the friendly and helpful manager speaks very well English
and helps wherever he is able to.
Since Ko Kham
is very small, you can’t do much on the island,
but it is ideal to relax in quiet atmosphere with a book or
one of the many games you will find in the restaurant. If
you want to do more than just reading or swimming, you can
rent kayaks to cruise around the island.
Also snorkel-equipment can be lent in the restaurant. |
|
 |
| You can also book snorkel tours
to the surrounding islands
or, upon request, you can go with the long-tail-boat to Ko
Maak, the beautiful island
close to Ko Kham.
You can choose departure and return time individually since
the crossing lasts only few minutes. |

Arrival to Koh
Kham Resort and departure:
Ferries from Ko
Chang (Baan Bang
Bao Pier):
From November to May there are 2 daily Island-Hopper boats
starting from Baan Bang Bao (south of Ko
Chang) to Ko
Kham and back. For the exact departure
times have a look at the website: Island-Hopper.
There are other boats from Baan Bang Bao to Ko
Kham as well.
Ferries from the mainland (Laem
Ngop Pier, also called Khrom Luang Pier):
At 9.30 am, 11 am, 1.30 pm and 4 pm speedboats leave the mainland
from the Laem Ngop pier. The boats will bring you either directly
to Ko Kham
or to Ko Mak,
where you just have to ask the local Thais who will give you
information how to get to Ko
Kham easily.
There are also several daily fishing boats to Ko
Mak, duration about 3 hours. Because
the departure and arrival times change quite often, please
ask at the Laem Ngop Pier.
For a direct return to the mainland as at the Koh
Kham Resort.
(October 2007. All information refer to high-season
between November and May. Occasionally, due to high waves,
the boats are unable to leave. Depending on the weather conditions,
some boats may not leave to Ko Mak in low-season between June
and October.) |
On request we can organize the boat transfer
from Ko Chang
to Koh Kham Resort
(incl. transfer from your hotel).
By normal boat (departure at Baan Bang Bao at 9 am, 2 - 2,5
hours): one way 400 THB, return: 800 THB.
By speedboat (departure at Baan Bang Bao at 12 am, 30 - 45
minutes): one way 550 THB, return 1100 THB.
