This lovely sandy beach is divided by 2 rivers in 3 sections. Klong Prao Resort is located in the south of the northern beach section close to the "Klong Plu" river. It is one of the largest resorts on Koh Chang.   At the lagoon The site map of the Klong Prao Resort   In the centre of this spacious resort is a large lagoon, which is bridged by a footbridge with a pavilion in the middle. The bungalows and hotel buildings are located directly on the beach or around the lagoon: on the right or on the page "The villas, bungalows and rooms of the Klong Prao Resort" you’ll find a ground plan of the complete hotel complex on which the buildings are marked with the individual room categories (click the map to extend it, it opens in a popup window, size 450 x 650 pixel, 53 KB). There is also a little supermarket, the "Haad Rim Restaurant" at the beach and the "Feung Fa Restaurant" on the edge of the lagoon as well as a gym and a massage parlour. Diving and snorkelling tours as well as all other leisure activities offered on Koh Chang can be booked in the Klong Prao Resort. Canoes and kayaks can also be rented to explore the beach and the rivers.   On the beach, view direction to the South On the beach, view direction to the North   Klong Prao Resort has one of the longest stretches of beach. As everywhere else on Koh Chang, the beach is here very flat too, so that it stretches far back at low tide. However no stones are on your way into the water so going for a swim even at a lower tide is without any problems. High speed Internet is available at Klong Prao Resort. They have their own minibuses for all kind of trips and a Speedboat for island trips, snorkelling and fishing. There is also a conference room for up to 200 persons on the area of this beautiful holiday resort.   The beautifully designed "Rock Garden Swimming Pool" is right at the beach so you'll always have a great view to the beach and the sea while swimming or relaxing on the deckchairs under the parasols that are held available for the guests of the Klong Prao Resort.   Klong Prao Resort’s "Rock Garden Swimming Pool"   From basic rooms in the hotel building on the back side of the lagoon to luxuriously equipped rooms with sea view and villas in the front row, there are 114 rooms in 4 categories. Many new businesses at the main road just next to the resort opened recently, where you can find everything you might need from restaurants to shops, dive shops and much more. To the next village "Baan Chai Chet" you can stroll along the beach or walk the couple of hundred meters on the main road. Masseuses at work Below: The Swimming pool of the Klong Prao Resort The village of "Baan Klong Prao" is located in the south, direction Kai Bae Beach and it’s a long way to walk; due to an estuary one cannot walk along the beach. But there are taxis running up and down the main road all day long, or rent a motorbike to go there.   Arrival to Klong Prao Resort: From the piers you will reach Klong Prao Resort at Klong Prao Beach by pickup taxi within 30 - 45 minutes. Please let the taxi driver know the name of Klong Prao Resort before starting, or get him to stop by knocking on the car-body (the entrance to the Klong Prao Resort is directly at the right hand side of the street and easy to find). If you arrive by airplane from Bangkok you can take a minibus waiting at Trat airport that will bring you directly to Klong Prao Resort. Please ask at the pier or the airport for the prices of the pickup taxis and / or minibuses.
