The Klong Prao Beach is divided by 2 rivers in 3 sections. All of Coconut Beach Resort is in the northernmost beach section in the village of "Baan Chai Chet". The sandy beach in front of the Coconut-Beach Resort is flat like all beaches of the west coast Koh Changs but even at low tides it is no problem to go swimming, since there are no hard stones or numb coral parts in the sand.     In the gardens with view of the "Wanisha Pool 1 " hotel building   Between the "Superior" double bungalows   The centre of the Coconut Beach Resort is the lovely, tropical gardens. The one and two-storey hotel buildings lie in the midst of this big and very well-tended garden. The individual or double bungalows were built directly on the beach or in 2nd and 3rd row. Three of the five two-storey villas are also in the tropical garden, two of them behind or aside the beautiful swimming pool.     At the swimming pool of the Coconut Beach Resort The site map of the Coconut Beach Resorts   The swimming pool is also right at the beach, so you have this great beach view while swimming as well as from the "Pool Bar". A child basin is in the pool where the youngsters can let off steam safely. On the site map you can see all buildings of the Coconut Beach Resort including the swimming pool, the bungalows, villas and hotel buildings of the different room categories. The extended version of the map opens in a new window by clicking on it (size: 450 x 600 pixel).   Next to the swimming pool with the "Pool Bar" the "Yensabay Restaurant" is also on the spacious area of the Coconut Beach. It is located close to the beach and you can freely view the beach from here while enjoying your meals. During high season the lavish breakfast buffet can be found here every morning (while in low season you can choose breakfast à la carte). Besides Thai specialities a wide variety of European dishes are found in the extensive menu.   The Swimming pool with the pool bar in the background   Fresh seafood and other grill specialities are also prepared freshly at the Barbeque during high season. Food and drinks can be consumed either in the roofed area or in the open air area directly on the beach. There the transfers to the piers or the airport can be booked as well as all kind of tours, sailing and diving trips and other activities on Koh Chang. The guests can also get pampered at an original Thai massage either at the pool or at the beach. Of course the Coconut Beach Resort resort offers also a laundry service.   The Koh Chang Plaza opposite Coconut Beach Resorts   Coconut Beach Resort adjoins the sea in the south west and main road in the north east. In the village "Baan Chai Chet" that is located directly at the resort, the "Koh Chang Plaza" was built. Here, and close by, the guests will find the islands largest supermarket, many Thai and European restaurants, bars, souvenir shops, boutiques, diving schools and other shops supplying almost everything you might need for your beach holiday. A row of shops with Coconut Beach Resort’s "Standard Rooms" in the upper floor You can find car- and moped rentals, some tailors, a bank branch office, ATMs and beauty salons right around the resort in the village of "Chai Chet". The "Wanisha Pool 1" hotel building (category III)   Altogether Coconut Beach Resort offers 96 rooms in 7 categories. They differ in location, size and furnishing. All of them have a chest of drawers, an air conditioner, a refrigerator with mini-bar, wardrobe with mirror, 2 bedside tables with lamps, a cable TV and bathroom with western style toilet and hot-water shower. Arrival to Coconut Beach Resort: From the piers you will reach Coconut Beach Resort at Kong Prao Beach by pickup taxi within about 30 minutes. Please let the taxi driver know the name of Coconut Beach Resort before starting, or get him to stop by knocking on the car-body (the entrance of Coconut Beach Resort is located directly at the right hand side of the street and is easy to find). If you arrive by airplane from Bangkok you can take a minibus waiting at Trat airport that will bring you directly to Coconut Beach Resort.
